Fall Combine & Showcase 21'

RepsOnReps Hoops Fall combine & showcase 21', gave the senior class of 2022 the opportunity and a platform to showcase their talents against their peers in front of college coaches & scouts. Day 1 the kids were tested on speed, agility, power, shooting and body composition. Day 2 participants competed in a tournament style 5v5 games.

Showcase Recap Part I

The class of 22' is loaded with talent across the board. September 19th we had the pleasure of having all the talent under one roof.

Josiah Sabino 6'4 G Orange Park

The Jacksonville University commit showed why he is considered the top player in the city. Sabino is a strong, scoring machine who can do it from all three levels. He also displayed his passing ability & defensive versatility. Sabino checks off all the boxes, scoring, facilitating, rebounding & defending.  He is a good leader and even better kid. JU is getting a special talent.

Bruce Gee III 6'4 G Paxon

Bruce Gee had himself a day! Gee had one of the best two-way performances of the showcase. Gee has the size and frame which helps him get to the basket and the versatility to guard multiple positions on the defensive end. Gee has a tight handle which helps him get wherever he wants on the court. Be on the lookout for Gee to lead Paxon to a district title.

Stephon Payne 6'10 F Andrew Jackson

The Andrew Jackson big man had a great combine and even better showcase. Measuring in at 6'10 with a 7'0 wingspan, Payne is a defensive nightmare. With the mix of quickness and athleticism Payne can protect the rim and guard in P&R situations. Payne also displayed his soft touch around the rim and even sprinkled in a few outside jumpers throughout the day. Look for Payne to lead a loaded Andrew Jackson team to a State Title.

Elijah Mahi 6'7 F Potter's House

Mahi is a force that plays with grace and swagger. The 6'7 forward got wherever he wanted on the court Sunday. With the combination of guard like skills and the size that punishes smaller players, Mahi is a mismatch problem. Look for Elijah to become a household name across the country.

Dmarion Riley 6'4 G First Coast

Riley has a motor that is unmatched! The First Coast guard was relentless in attacking the basket and mixed in a couple of pull up jumpers as well. He competed, played hard, and made a lot of tough shots on the day. The pairing of him and Jeremiah Waldburg, first coast can make a strong run at a district title.

Jalen Gilmore 6'3 Bishop Snyder

The smooth lefty guard plays at a pace that cannot be taught. Gilmore excels in the P&R and finishes well with both hands. Gilmore is a patient guard who can score by knocking down the three and by using his size against smaller guards to get into the paint. Look for Jalen Gilmore to have a huge senior campaign leading to more D1 offers.

Kenneth Young 6'1 G Ed White

One of the better shooters in the area and it was on full display throughout. Young finished as the top 3 shooters from combine day. He has a quick and fluid release that helps him make contested jump shots. He uses shot fakes to get his defender off balance and to get to the rim. He will have the opportunity to lead the city in scoring. Fun and exciting kid to watch!

Rahim Alvarade 6'7 F Potter's House

The 6'7 smooth wing is a aggressive and assertive scorer who can just simply "put the ball in the basket". Alvarade shoots the ball well from the outside who can also finish at the rim. He had a stretch were he scored 9 points in a row! He played at a high level throughout. Look for Alvarade to start gaining more interest from college coaches!

Abraham Garjah 5'9 G Paxon

Garjah measured in a 5'9 with a 6'1 wingspan but man he plays bigger than his size! The best on ball defender in the gym, Garjah picked up full court and caused havoc for the offensive player. Garjah also has a frame that helps him on the offensive end to get to the basket. He also had multiple rim rattling dunks that turned a lot of heads in the gym... Including some college coaches.

Jordan Smith 6'4 G Sandalwood

Jordan is a long and versatile lefty who can multiple positions. Smith had a great day driving to the basket, making mid range jump shots and ultimately doing what it takes for his team to win. He is a un-selfish player but assertive enough to get his own bucket. Smith looks to lead a Sandalwood team that has potential to compete in the Gateway Conference.

Christian Richardson 7'1 C Potter's House

The big man from Potter's House is dominate force on both ends of the floor. Richardson was light on his feet and dominated the glass with put back dunks and showcased his rim running ability.  Richardson thrived in the P&R, setting hard screens and rolling to the front of the rim. Also did a solid job containing smaller match-ups by sliding his feet and using his length to disrupt shots. Richardson is a integral part to PHCA national team.
